the shutter took the most time to get right — then i had to bite the bullet and pay for the cutting .. and THEN i had no choice but to build the WHHHOOOLE thing just to see if it would work .. eesh.
i used .9mm steel in the end – didnt even stump up for stainless — and then used revnuts (which were also new to me) to created ‘flush’ ish fitted threaded areas to attach the ‘rollers’ etc.
